Privacy Policy

KAGE Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") hereby establishes the following Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") regarding the handling of user information, including personal information, of users in the services provided by the Company (hereinafter referred to as "the Service").

1. User Information Collected and Collection Methods

In this Policy, "user information" refers to information related to user identification, behavioral history on communication services, and other information generated or accumulated in relation to users or their devices, which is collected by the Company in accordance with this Policy. The user information collected by the Company in the Service is as follows, depending on the collection method.

(1) Information Provided by Users

Information provided by users to use the Service or through the use of the Service is as follows:

  • Information related to profile such as name, date of birth, gender, occupation, etc.
  • Contact information such as email address, phone number, address, etc.
  • Payment information such as credit card information, bank account information, electronic money information, etc.
  • Still image information including user portraits
  • Information entered or transmitted by users through input forms or other methods specified by the Company

(2) Information Provided from Other Services When Users Authorize Integration with Other Services

When users authorize integration with other services such as social networking services when using the Service, the following information will be collected from such external services based on the content agreed to at the time of authorization:

  • User ID used by the user on the external service
  • Other information that the user has authorized the external service to disclose to the integration partner according to the privacy settings of the external service

(3) Information Collected by the Company When Users Use the Service

The Company may collect information regarding access status and usage of the Service. This includes the following information:

  • Device information
  • Log information
  • Anonymous ID

(4) Information Collected by the Company Based on Individual User Consent When Using the Service

When users individually consent by the method specified in 3-1, the Company will collect the following information from the device in use:

  • Location information

2. Purpose of Use

The specific purposes of use of user information related to the provision of the Service are as follows. Personal information entrusted to us through the Service will not be transmitted or used in databases or other systems related to other services owned by the Company outside of the Service's servers.

(1) For the provision, maintenance, protection, and improvement of the Service, including registration acceptance, identity verification, user authentication, recording of user settings, and payment calculation for usage fees (2) For measuring user traffic and behavior (3) For delivery, display, and effectiveness measurement of advertisements (4) For providing information about the Service and responding to inquiries (5) For dealing with acts that violate the Company's terms, policies, etc. (hereinafter referred to as "Terms, etc.") regarding the Service (6) For notifying changes to the Terms, etc. regarding the Service

3. Methods of Notification, Publication, or Obtaining Consent, and Methods of Requesting Suspension of Use

3-1 For the following user information, the Company will obtain user consent before its collection:

  • Location information However, if consent for location information acquisition is refused, it may not be possible to use the Service.

3-2 Users may request the suspension of collection or use of all or part of user information by making specified settings in the Service, and in such cases, the Company will promptly suspend such use in accordance with the Company's provisions. Depending on the items of user information, since its collection or use is a prerequisite for the Service, the Company will suspend its collection or use only when the user withdraws from the Service by the method specified by the Company.

4. Provision to Third Parties

The Company will not provide personal information among user information to third parties (including those located outside Japan) without obtaining prior consent from users. However, this does not apply when there is a need to provide to third parties (including those located outside Japan) in the following cases: (1) When the Company outsources all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use (2) When personal information is provided along with business succession due to merger or other reasons (3) When personal information is provided to partners or information collection module providers in accordance with the provisions of Section 4 (4) When it is necessary to cooperate with national or local government agencies or persons entrusted by them in carrying out affairs stipulated by laws and regulations, and obtaining user consent would hinder the execution of such affairs (5) Other cases permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter referred to as the "Personal Information Protection Act") and other laws and regulations

5. Correction and Suspension of Use of Personal Information

5-1 When the Company is requested by a user to correct the content of personal information based on the Personal Information Protection Act on the grounds that (1) the personal information is not true, or (2) to suspend its use based on the Personal Information Protection Act on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the previously announced purpose of use or that it was collected by deception or other improper means, the Company will, after confirming that the request is from the user himself/herself, promptly conduct necessary investigations and, based on the results, correct the content of personal information or suspend its use, and notify the user accordingly. If the Company decides not to make corrections or suspend use, it will notify the user of that decision.

5-2 When the Company is requested by a user to delete the user's personal information, and the Company determines that it is necessary to comply with the request, the Company will, after confirming that the request is from the user himself/herself, delete the personal information and notify the user accordingly.

5-3 The provisions of 5-1 and 5-2 shall not apply when the Company is not obligated to make corrections or suspend use under the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations.

6. Privacy Policy Change Procedures

The Company will change this Policy as necessary. However, when making changes to this Policy that require user consent under law, the changed Policy will only apply to users who have consented to the changes by the method specified by the Company. When changing this Policy, the Company will announce the implementation time and content of the changed Policy by displaying it on the Company's website or other appropriate methods, or notify users.
